And They're Off!
OK, so this one is deeper than most. I promise not to do this very often.
We had a great sermon at church on Sunday. It wasn't totally focused on scripture, but still made a powerful point. The funny thing is that the point it made led to me thinking about other stuff and ultimately "taking home" something different than what was said. I felt like a horse penned up in the starting gates though. I know there is a race ahead of me- to be a missionary, but not sure when God will shoot the starting gun to signal when to go. I have a long way to go to be totally ready and equipped to do this, but I love that the fire and motivation is still so raw and powerful. I hope I can hold onto this feeling for a long time. To sum it up, I will borrow a quote from the sermon:
C.T. Studd said, "Some wish to live within chime of church or chapel bell. I want to run a rescue-shop within a yard of hell."

Ha! Let's do it. I like how you had to post an after thought that you wanted to do it with me. he he he
Galatians 5:6-8
6... The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
7You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? 8That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.
I found out for you who had made that quote but I see you beat me to it. Good job. All I wanted to say was keep on keeping on. And that I hear real estate near hell is really cheap this time of year. Something about a falling out or something.
Your excitedness makes me excited, except I'd rather you not live that close to hell. You're too fair skinned, you'll get a sun burn.
Actually Jill it's just NIV. It does read like the messege though doesn't it?
